In addition, Manuka Doctor has astounded judges with its ‘extraordinarily tasty’ Manuka honey in the GREAT TASTE AWARDS over the past three years! Winning Great Taste accolades for our 740 MGO Manuka, 540 MGO, 100 MGO and 55 MGO.
Top Judges included head buyers from Selfridges, Whole Foods, Fortnum & Mason and Waitrose, BBC Good Food editor Keith Kendrick, Delicious editor Karen Barnes, Bake Off contestant and author Chetna Makan, MasterChef Professionals finalist Santosh Shah, food and drink consultant Mallika Basu, the BBC’s Nigel Barden, national journalists and food writers Gill Meller, Melissa Thompson and Georgina Hayden, among many others.
All products are removed from their packaging before being blind tasted. The judges then savour, confer and re-taste to decide which products are worthy of a coveted Great Taste Award.
This year out of over 13,500 entries, just 5,590 products received either a Great Taste 1-star award, for “food and drink that delivers fantastic flavour”, a Great Taste 2-star award, for produce that is “above and beyond delicious”, or a Great Taste 3-star award, for “extraordinarily tasty food & drink”.
However our 740 MGO Manuka Honey beat the majority with a 3-star win in Great Taste this year. Only 1.8% products gained a 3-star award, so this really puts our honey amongst the very best that were tasted by the judges this year.
“The consistency is smooth, buttery and creamy. The judges loved the tingle on the tongue the depth of flavour in this honey. There is an incredible balance in savoury, sweet and medicinal. Complex and utterly delicious! It's dreamy! Liquid gold.”
And that is why Manuka Doctor is allowed to proudly display the special GREAT TASTE AWARD logo on our packaging.

Finally, we were proud to have been voted a winner in the recent London Honey Awards. These prestigious international awards see hundreds of different types of honey from around the world tested and ranked for quality, taste, flavour, style and substance.
According to the organisers, “the London Honey Awards was set up to inform honey lovers, honey producers, beekeepers, processors, and retailers, who distribute their standardised products, to preserve and to ameliorate the quality of their branded product by promoting high-quality honey products in every aspect of the spectrum of its use and consumption”.
